Bhairav kunda

Bhairav is regarded as the incarnation of Lord Shiva. God Bhairav is known as a fierce god in Hindu faith. Kunda means holy lake . So it means God's holy lake . This is one of the important holy site to Hindus. There are a lot of pilgrimages trekking to the lake to get out of the sin. This is not only for the pilgrimage site , we can see the the settlements of ethinic tribes ; Newars, Gurungs and Sherpas as majorities & top of Bhirav Kunda offers an excellent view of Rolwalling Range, Jugal Himal and the Tibetan Himalayan Ranges.Once a every year during June/ July, pilgrims from different parts of Nepal & India visit the lake and take a holy bath and pray to  Lord Shiva

Day to day Itinerary :
 
Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu Airport (1350m) pick up then  transfer to the  hotel
Day 02: Full day Kathmandu valley sight seeing tour.
 
Trek start
Day 03:  Drive to Balephi (3 hrs.) then trek to  Jalbire (1,000m.) , newari culture and Temple of Lord Bishnu . Over night at camp.
Day 04: Jalbire to Chanaute (1,200m.), 4 hrs. waterfalls , Tamang villages & Brahmin and Chhetri settlement. Over night in camp with mountain views.
Day 05: Chanaute to Khani Gaon (2000m.),6hrs. steeps, newari culture, overnigh at camp.
Day 06: Khani Gaon to Forest Camp (3,150m.) 5 hrs. steep ups, rhododendron forest, encounter with wild animals & birds, overnight at camp in the forest .
Day 07: Forest Camp to Pati (3,950m.), 4 hrs. steep ups , pine forests. overnigh at camp.
Day 08: Pati to Bhariv Kunda (4150m.) 3- 3.5 hrs. steeps up then gradual ups , Holy lake site
Day 09: Bhairav Kunda to Bhairav Kunda Top (4500m.) and Sherpa Gaon (2500m.)
Early morning walk to Bhairav Kunda Top to have a sunrise and spectualr  mountain view of Langtang Lirung, Jugal Himal, Rollwaling Range and Tibetan Range.  Then steep down 6 hours  to meet  a typical Sherpa village.
Day 10: Rest day and explore the unique Sherpa's  culture.
Day 11: Sherpa Gaon to Larcha (1,500m.) 3-4 hrs. Bank of the Bhote koshi River .
Day 12: Larcha to Kathmandu (1,320m.) 6 hrs. scenery drive to kathmandu.
 
Trek end
Day 13: Rest day in kathmandu , evening farewell dinner in Nepali restaurant with Nepalese cultural program.
Day 14: Fly out to your own destination or extra activities (visit Pokhara , chitwan & Lumbini are recommended )
